I tend to be a lot more tedious than other shoppers, I called her twice and probably waited for about ten minutes, and at that point, my friend messaged me, "Did you get that?!" Meaning something big dropped, and I'm sitting here on this puny little order waiting for a customer response and never had the chance to get it. So I sat in front of the diapers waiting for this lady to respond. One that works for that particular child. Do you know that by the time parents get to size 4, they probably have a favorite brand of diaper. She had like 8 items, and then at the beginning, she asked me to grab some size 4 diapers. For example, one time, I picked up a small $15 order that was like 1 mile away. So we have to make judgment calls on, "Well do they want the less expensive non-organic version, or the more expensive organic one that is closer to what they wanted to begin with or maybe they just want a refund." A lot of times, there aren't replacement items listed for people, but I'm expected to anticipate their needs just like I was supposed to anticipate a guests refill at a table. Maybe they get busy with their 2 year old running around and can't get back to chat. This is what I do for every single customer, with the hope I'll get an increase in tip to what it should be.
Also waiting on the meat department to cut your meat for you, because let me tell you about a little secret, if it's during the day and someone is back there, they more than likely have what you ordered.
